Steph recorded it on her phone. I hope it was recorded on the camera that was set up too.

I'm really looking forward to the video for this AWS coming out; there were some really good fights this time :)

Btw, if you are thinking about making some more bots, my suggestion would be looking into 1mm polycarbonate sheet for armour. It can be cut with scissors and folded cold by hand, is light and cheap, and can take spinner hits fine. Everyone has there prefered methods; but that's the one I go for.

Also, I've started selling my speed controllers now if you're looking for something a bit smaller/ cheaper than a sabretooth (*cough* unsubtle-plug *cough*) :P

Cheers for the tip.

Regarding your speed controller. Whats the cost and stats for it?

Here's his data sheet:

I ran 2 of his in my bots at the last AWS. :)

The basic one (N2LV) can run the drive motors for either a 2 or 4 wheel drive ant ( or just 2 wheel drive if you were using the Pololu HP motors) at up to 10v. £20
The high current one (N2LVHP) can run up to 8 wheel drive ( or 4 wheel drive for the Pololu HP motors, which is more what it's designed for) at up to 10v. £25
The high voltage one (N2HV) can run up to 16v.. Not sure how many motors it can run... theoretically 14 :P £25
They all have optional internal mixing, can come with a JST Battery connector and servo connectors, or plain wires to solder it in. Also has a 6v output for running the receiver and servos.

Shipping is £2, unless you collect at an AWS. I take either PayPal, or cash on collection.

I wrote up a data sheet, so if you want more information have a look here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/19oF ... sp=sharing

EDIT: Cheers Shakey :P

Is there a list somewhere of upcoming ant events?

The most reliable list is in the events thread:
http://www.robotwars101.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=9

There may also be the chance to run ants at some of the feather/heavyweight events.

Update

So got round at last to removing the components of Robototron MK 2. The shell and robot are now retired. It had it last drive around yesterday and still ran.

So started work on Robototron Mk3. Will provide pictures when I can but will be running faster motors and bigger wheels, will be invertible and have an active lifter.

I bought some smaller batteries and they feature just one single 3 pin connector. They are still 2 cell lipos. Anyone have an idea what the wire convention might be?

This is the fella.

I assume its red and black as pozitive and negative with blue as a ballance line.
