Yes the drawings are all done in sketchup.
The motors have two M1.6 threaded holes either side of the output shaft I use them to mount the motors.

Finished the modular drive unit plus the drum weapon module.
I ended up reprinting the whole thing as the finish was very poor due to water absorption by the nylon filament.
An hour at around 110 C dried it out and then it printed much better and I dyed it Scarlet apparently.

The drive module is 61.0 gms and the drum one 89.6 gms.

I have just been having a go at updating my elastic flipper Militant to some slightly smaller but more powerful servos the Goteck HC2125T which give 6.7 kgcm on 7.2v.
Unfortunately I managed to stall one of them and the output shaft broke. :oops: It turns out that though the shaft is 2.36 mm steel it is bored out to 1.9 mm leaving a wall thickness of only 0.23 mm.
There doesn't seem to be any others in that size with anywhere near as much torque so I shall either have to risk buying another or change the new chassis design.

While waiting for a new servo I have started on a second weapon module for the new Variant.

I like it a lot its really menacing and kind of resembles the Australian Antweight Shrapnel in my eyes.

Just having a play with a couple of the Bang Good recivers and am unable to get either to bind.
I have tried them with 3 transmitters and various ranges but so far they just flash slowley for about 4 secs hen you are supposed to bind them and than flash faster therafter.

I've got them to work, you just have to leave them much longer IIRC. They flash to say they're in bind mode in 4sec, but you have to leave them quite a bit longer before they'll actually bind... there's no indicator for when they actually go into bind mode, but it's about 20-30 seconds. Also, the time between channel pulses is super short compared with other RXs, so if you're using an ESC with a single interrupt, it likely won't work without some recoding.

Yeah contrary to the actual instructions just turn on the RX and wait for it to start rapidly flashing then try and bind.

I'm waiting for rory to adjust the firmware on my nano ESC's to listen to them so I can replace the RX's in my nanos and Wedge Wedge Wedge. *cough*nudge*cough*

One option might be to read the PPM output.

Cheers for that as you say it is the exact opposite to the instructions now I have got it to bind.
Don't tell Rory but I was hoping to get it to work with the Bang Good controller to try and get a Nano that works on two cells to go with the new motor gearboxes.
It may well be overweight in which case it might become a Lemming.

Just hooked it up to the bang good controller and it all seems to work including the mixing.
