A quick look at my collection of robots as it currently stands

Clockwise from left we have, Inertia 10, Red, White, Blue, Expelliarnus (flea), Inversion 2 and Mini Blue (new flea)

Funnily enough the new blue flea seems to be one of my better machines as it can beat all of my ants (exept white) pretty easily as its nice to control and has a good flip. Might make another as it would make a fantastic cluster!

What a splendid lineup! I hope I'm not drawn against Intertia - that looks even more deadly that before! I can see there are two SG90s in Expelliarnus. If this is the same configuration you used at AWS 44, how does it go that fast? It has great pushing power as well so I am absolutely baffled as to how you did it! I would love to do that to my SG90 driven ants (which is almost all of them!) so it would be very useful to know how you did it. Great seeing the robots together and I hope they do great!

Don't worry about Inertia; Nuts managed to beat it at the open day ;) (although some may say that was only due to entanglement.. but shh!)

But no, I joke; it's actually pretty terrifying :L

After the open day a couple of weekends back I've finally got some time to look back on how the ants performed to try and gauge what to develop and work on for the AWS.

Inversion 2- still working very reliably. Will leave as is for the AWS.

Red- Still running happily too- the flipper could benefit from a better servo so it may get changed

Blue- Needs some work- this version is far too quick and could do with slower motors as well as a better flipper servo.

White- Still working well after the extra bits added on the day- will possibly get a new flipper arm before the AWS.

Mini Blue (fleaweight)- surprisingly good! it won 2 out of the 3 competitions on the day and could more than hold its own against the ants. It will be joined by Mini Red to form my cluster for the AWS.

Inertia 10- another demo and another self destruct- As much as I like the current design it is a little too vulnerable and the components have very little shielding from the disc which is a concern.

So as a result I introduce Inertia 11!!

This one is a bit different to the previous one but overall a less adventurous design and hopefully less likely to explode like the previous 2!

Elegant lines with just a touch of menace, can't wait to see it in action, not necessarily against my robots.

Thanks Peter. I'm hoping this one will actually make it into the arena without self destructing :)

Inertia 11 is on hold as my printer has broken down.

I was looking for bits in my spares box to make a replacement and I came across the chassis of Inertia 2 so it has been rebuilt to the original spec :)
