Just started using Sketchup and was pleasantly surprised with how simple it is to use. Started on a CAD design for a new antweight:

Still a lot of weight trimming to do and components to mount :D

Looking good, the only thing I can recommend is to cover the surfaces that are likely to be hit with some armour, the 3d printed material is good but isn't as spinner proof as polycarb/HDPE etc. You can 'pre drill' the holes to be tapped in the material which saves a lot of effort. Anything more than 4mm should hold a thread.

I was planning on using Peter Waller's Option B board

Never heard on banebots escs :lol:, so a link would be useful

peter's boards can't handle 4 motors, the banebots are the ones that david weston uses in baby hell, i will try to find a link

I highly recommend Banebots, I have used them in Baby Hell and FIN and never had a problem with them. The banebots, without heatsink and wires, are 3 grams each, so my speedos are 6g total, hence I can get 4WD, 6mm HDPE and a weapon in 150g :). The 3Amp ones I use have been able to run a kilobot.
