Thats looking good I like the idea of puting the teeth on the wheel to help the tyre grip the wheel.
I can't believe I didn't think of that so I might just adopt it.

Thanks. I just used the involute gear plugin to generate the teeth and then made a circle the inner diameter I wanted cutting off all but the tip of the teeth (They would have been too thin otherwise).

I'd be interested in the new tyres if they are any good. If I provided a hub could you print a mold to fit it ? Stewie needs a new pair of shoes :)

Alright guys, I demoulded the tyres and they are awesome! :D

The first lot were the same width as the pololu double tyres I use, Though these were a dear to get out the mould so I may thin them down. What width would people like? Drop in/out with pololus?

And a test rig that may or may not be my scales hot glued to my cupboard and my coaster hot glued to my desk...

However Carbon went from 105g of push on double pololus to 165g on the moulded tyres! A nice 60% increase. I'm going to mould another double tomorrow and see what stanley gives.

I could be able to dave, though it would be much easier doing the hub myself as I'm not sure the old hubs would hold the silicone well. Send a picture and I'll see.

The hubs I had in mind are the Ali solarbotics ones from Stewie, I'll get a pic with the tyre off when I'm home.

It's pretty low shore and I dyed it black myself. Otherwise it would be translucent like Peters wheels.

And there is always room for improvement! :P
