Pneumatics
I'm off the FRA and have several robots I know my stuff.
But where can I a pneumatic set suitable for a ant?

There isnt really anything comercially available anymore, you could look into pneumatic air retracts for rc planes or lego pneumatics but really best bet is to start machining.

Didn't think It warranted a new thread. Would this do for an actuator?

Nice find there !!, Most rc stuff ive come across operates at about 60 psi so at a guess id say 50-60 psi to be safe. Just from the looks of it id say that could take 60 psi but you cant relly be sure until youve bought it of course. Thanks for finding that, bookmared .

Re: Pneumatics
Just wondering if anyone had used on of these before and if they knew what pressure rating it is...

Sorry for using an ancient thread.
EDIT: and also, this cylinder appears to be double acting. Could I convert it by plugging the second port and putting elastic on the thing it would be firing be it flipper, claw etc.?

I use that valve and it works at 8bar(ish) it isnt the best valve as it has a useless flow rate

Re: Pneumatics
That valve is rated at 8 bar and the behemoth guys have used it in vx since AWS13. It should be ok up to 200psi. Technobots sell rams that are ok for 145psi. I acurrently working on the new anticide which is using a lego ram

Would that mean I'd be restricted to a slow flip?Team Nuclear wrote:I use that valve and it works at 8bar(ish) it isnt the best valve as it has a useless flow rate
