Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Tried that but it didn't change anything in fact it makes the motors glitchy.

Hmm, it's not a problem I've ever come across. If it's still not working, send it back to me along with the DSMX RX and I'll see what the problem is.

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Killer-Wolf with its new ESC after Rory resolved the issue with it (will have to get one for Bunny-Ears down the line).
Finally Killer-Wolf is free of the drive issues that have troubled the old version and Bunny-Ears too.
Now is just a case of learning to handle the new speed seeing as Killer-Wolf flew off the kitchen counter and nearly landed in the dog’s water bowl.

Yeah, and it takes up less space then those old servo boards.

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Just out of interest how does people approach to flipper panels?
Would using 2mm thick polycarb be ridged enough as a flipper? or should I make a frame to support it?

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
An unsupported 2mm plate will be fine, though these days I tend to fold the outer edges to ~45 degrees and have the folded edges sit outside the chassis in an effort to deflect spinners. Be aware though that the heavier the flipper arm, the more difficult it will be to selfright, so adding more mass to it with folded edges or a frame may mean you can't self right.

Oh ok, sounds like what I was going to do with the new flipper panel should be fine.

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Back from my little break and fitted a hinge to Killer-Wolf, I'll fit the left side panel before adding the final version of flipper panel.
