Brilliant. It's like a less smug Anticide :P
Are you signing up for the AWS then? Is Bruce coming out to play too?
I honestly can't wait for this event, I've been out of it so long!

Thanks guys.I am really pleased how it is working out so far. :D
The flipper is powered by an mg82 servo, which seems to be the servo of choice,so it isnt any more powerful really. The thinking behind it was that the movement that is produced is just a little more efficient than the norm though.
I am working on attending AWS.

I was just tidying up,and took the opportunity to take a pic of a few of the the bits I had left over from the build, before dismantling and recycling.
Roughly in timescale from left to right...

Very few things do, including Peter's creations themselves on occasion :P

That is very interesting though, a nice illustration of a design in evolution...what were the two 'sun ray' rectangles near the centre for?

Cheers! :)
The sun ray bits were the original front flipping mechanism. It was going to have a narrow front, but I decided to make a wide front,as I thought it would be more effective.

Getting there.
Here is another video, with the "tub" body on.
I have trimmed down the weight of the lego car to exactly 150g...

I need to make a back piece, and maybe fit a piece of elastic to make the shut a bit tighter.
At the moment it weighs 138g,so I have a bit spare. :)
