Re: Another New Antweight..
Lovely to see Lionel (one of my favourites actually) in such good shape! I can't wait to see it perform great at the AWS.

Re: Nanoweight Robots
Sorry but my plans just did not work. It was overweight, too big and just rubbish. It couldn't push anything, the rubber fell off and by the end of it, both of the tiny motor wires had snapped on each motor. As the motor turned on, a shock appeared to go through to the wires, pulling them for about ...

Re: Team Shock's Build Diary
What a splendid lineup! I hope I'm not drawn against Intertia - that looks even more deadly that before! I can see there are two SG90s in Expelliarnus. If this is the same configuration you used at AWS 44, how does it go that fast? It has great pushing power as well so I am absolutely baffled as to ...

Re: Nanoweight Robots
That's a great idea! Thanks for all your support! I really hope I can join you with my creation at the next AWS. Seeing as at Christmas I should be getting a new transmitter, I shall bind it and any other clusterable (if that's a word) robots to my old one (as I am definitely not getting rid of that...

Re: Nanoweight Robots
"AntRoboteer; that's pretty much the setup I had in Smidge; just two motor tips running on the ground. It'll be quick and tricky to control, but hilarious at the same time so please build it! :)" I will try! Why did I not see that before on Smidge - I even saw it in person and didn't notic...

Re: Nanoweight Robots
Does anybody know if SG90s or 50s would do the job if I took the motors out and angled them downwards so that the original gear on the motor (which will be coated in rubber) touches the ground. I would remove all plastic casing and replace the potentiometers with fixed 2.2K resistors to save weight....

Re: Another New Antweight..
May be able to give it a go then but I still don't know about Lipos. In theory 15g NiMH + 3g receiver + 2 x 3g servos = 24g. 1g left for wheels and armour. Oh dear. I'm not sure about the safety of lipos and I presume I would need a bunch of connectors and adapters for them anyway which could push u...
