Re: 3D printer supplies

Yeah, mine was ordered Wednesday night too, so it should be here tomorrow, hopefully. But apparently I'm not allowed to open it until my Birthday! Boo! I think the price might have gone down because the manufacturer is in Spain and the Euro had a pretty sharp decline at the start of March. Bu...

Re: 3D printer supplies

I was about to say I can't see that offer lasting long, but it looks like they've already put them back to full price! Fingers crossed they honour my order at the lower price.

Re: 3D printer supplies

For anyone that's interested in getting the i3, they've dropped the price to £350 for a limited period.

Re: Another New Antweight..

I don't know, smashing up a 2 part cluster is so 2006. Since the Lemmings fight it's not worth smashing a robot unless I can do 6 at a time. :P

Re: pnematics advice

You will need a no return valve to fill the system. These are available from hobby king. I fill mine with a pump/compressor with a needle valve that is usually used to pump up footballs. This is connected to the no return valve with the clear hose I posted a link to yesterday. You can use a bike val...

Re: pnematics advice

Lego rams will hold fine up to 100psi. They're pretty sturdy. I can't say the same of the lego valves though. The X-valve and V1000 will handle 100psi though. And Rory is right about the tubing. It will only hold about 40psi before they blow off. But this is an easy fix, just replace it with this: h...

Re: pnematics advice

The ram looks like it would be too long to be any use in an Antweight. And a bit heavy and narrow. Have a look on brick link for some Lego rams. They are much lighter and shorter and can handle 100psi. Again, the ones on hobby king are a bit big and heavy. None of the ones I've seen would fit into t...

Re: 3D printer supplies

Scott...sorry for the amateur approach, but isn't "a 3D printer that just does what it's told and doesn't need any tinkering with" called Shapeways? Not in my experience. They've managed to mess up at least 50% of my orders with them. I'm with Scott, on his heated print bed, shouting &quo...

Re: 3D printer supplies

Hey Shakey, Got a few questions about the i3, if you wouldn't mind answering... I was looking at getting the kit direct from the manufacturer rather than the pre-built one. How tricky is this? There's no precision soldering or programming required is there? How long did it take you to put your toget...
