Re: Introducing ProtoBot!

Seems like your version 2 bot could definitely be competitive. Fantastic design too. My bot also had a lot of polycarbonate panels (1.5mm) and as others have mentioned I recommend just getting good scissors for them. I managed to get the shapes I wanted just fine, just slightly achey hand as consque...

Re: Knappster's monstrosities!

I love the design of this. Especially the blue wheel guards! It's fantastic to see so many unique looking bots in the forums lately! It would be great to see a drum spinner on this bot.

Re: Bot Building Questions!

Thanks ll for your advice and sharing your metal cutting experience! Not sure I have the right tools to make it worth trying to add one armour plate to my robot but perhaps something to think about for the future :)

Re: First time questions. Switches, LEDs and 3D printing

I'm back with some more questions for you guys! Just wondering how you go about cutting metal? Was thinking about getting a 1mm titanium sheet for some armour plating and was wondering how it can be cut? as I have limited tools! thanks

Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

I'm not familiar with that bot? Is that pre-reboot Battlebots? I've only seen the two new series.

Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

Thanks again guys. The panels are a pretty snug fit and pretty much stay on their own however I used epoxy glue to fix them in place. Most other glues corrode polycarbonate over time. The servo was the one Rory lists as the recommended servo on the NanoTwo fact sheet. It's a Turnigy. I can't remembe...

Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

Thanks! seems pretty sturdy although obviously not battle tested yet. I drove it off my dining room table into a hard floor by accident and it was fine though! I was kinda going for a miniature heavyweight look so I'm glad that came across, It wasn't inspired by any single one in particular though. ...
