Re: Devo 7e
Looks like the Deviation Uploader-0.9.0 on this page is what you want: https://www.deviationtx.com/downloads-new/category/161-dfu-usb-tool Seems to be an updated tool for flashing transmitters. Looks like this is the likely death of the guide though, my own Devo 7e died long ago and I'm not buying o...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
I think maybe we should codify the rule which Dave informally described at the beginning of AWS60, "A cluster bot must demonstrate some controlled movement of at least two of its parts during each battle, or be disqualified". So if part of a cluster was damaged in the first fight, it need...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
I see what you mean with that bit, definitely a tweak needed.

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
2) while I like the idea of rule 4k, I think that idea would be better implemented by adjusting 4j to include robots that are immobilised as well as ones in the pit - "4j) If opposing robots have left the arena or been immobilised simultaneously etc......" Combined with the new bit in 4c ...

Re: Antweight Rules Proposal
In rule 4h), the "leaving arena without contact" rule, should it be written that a maximum of two restarts per robot will be allowed? As far as I know, we've applied this consistently in recent tournaments. I've never seen a case where the same robot left the arena a third time without co...

Antweight Rules Proposal
Hello, As you know there has been some effort to update the official rules behind our AWS's in varying forms. However it has become somewhat of a slog and weighed down by various things, legacy and semantics. What I have done is taken a run at a more complete rewrite on the ruleset. The aims of this...

Re: Arena Hazards
I like the idea and have thought some way for pushers to 'flip' a bot would be cool and add some interest to pusher v pusher fights.
On hazards in general I actually enjoy them, stuff like bristols corner flipper is great fun (Though for an AWS you'd want to figure some kind of automatic trigger).

Re: Weapon motor issue
Just a quick one, will it arm if you trim the throttle channel all the way down?

Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019
Dropping from 4 robots (3 rollers and 1 cluster walker) to 3 robots (2 rollers and 1 cluter/walker), would help more aswell as helping to keep the more exotic bots entered into the competition. Aswell as encouraging people to build down those routes for future events.

Re: Lipo 180mah 2S Compatible LOSB0863
I'm not sure what's happening there, any charger should be able to work with just the balance connector plugged in. Theoretically yes, however having the main leads plugged in is a requirement on a lot of the chargers aimed at higher power batteries. Simply as you can't push much current through ba...
