Re: Pink servo??
The pink servo basically was the first fully fledged ready to go actual flipper servo we had. Now 'flippers' existed before then and some were capable of actual flips. But for the most part you'd really call them a lifter by today's standards, they didn't really have a 'throw' to their flips. Linkag...

Re: Pink servo??
You can find a large variety of alternatives by searching for '450 servo' or '450 heli servo'. There's a whole tree of servos copying each other. Saying that KST is a good name that keeps cropping up.

Re: Armour /chassis material
I would disagree that polycarb is easy to bend and stays put at room temp, as I have found 1mm PC to be quite difficult to bend (at least, without proper equipment), and also quite springy (it won't go back to being flat, but it won't hold a 90 degree bend). As with cold bending nearly all material...

You can either resize the image in paint for it to be small enough. or like many of us you can use an image hosting website and then post the link. imgur is a popular one.

Re: AWS rule polls 2019
Yeah this first round is pretty much the more obvious rules changes, there's a few more that stray into the more 'heated' parts. But we don't want to overload the process and drown it in debate right away!

I'll be there of course! Unsure of the team lineup yet though. Probably not going to be a competitive runout as I still need to repair those bots but should be a fun selection.

To add in:
The LiPo bag rule is one I feel is important for the ruleset with regards for the need to be more formal with the admin side of the events. Especially with regards to stuff like insurance. It's a good tick box to have to make them happy and help guard the sports future.

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary
Yesterday evening I finally needed to move the laser cutter out the middle of my lounge. So I built it a shelf and it now lives happily in CNC corner with the other machines. Just need a new exhaust hose to reach a skylight above it for ventilation. https://i.imgur.com/JmSdJHT.jpg A drawing rumble w...

Re: Team Shakey Build Diary
Cheers, I'm always happy when my silly bots can get a laugh! For the acetate I buy A4 strips then use a paper cutter (one of those slider types with a wheel blade) to turn it into smaller strips of varying width. Then use 3m double sided sticky tape to apply it to bots. Not sure if there is anything...
