Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
I dont want to take away this topic from its purpose, which is the AWS, which I am still coming to and hope to thoroughly enjoy. However, I've had so much bad luck recently. Blown speedos, dead batteries, mysterious gremlins in previously-working machines...basically I've had to hastily rebuild my t...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
As I have already stated (many times!) I am not against Antlog! I am against using technology for the sake of it when it doesn't improve on anything. Antlog is wonderful for doing the draw, keeping track, etc etc, (although I still don't think we've had a full event where it hasn't gone wrong in som...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
I think you're right Joey. Its not criticism as such, I just don't think its a better way than the current system. But I do have a slight worry about sending events even further out of the reach of being hosted by the "average Joe". Will's great uni based events already put a lot of people...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
But all of those "benefits" were already in the previous system. What's the difference between me managing an online account and selecting 4 robots to sign up and me choosing 4 robots to sign up via the usual way on this forum? It "only takes a few clicks" either way. The only di...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
I'm not criticing your efforts, Gary, and I understand the intent fine. I have zero computing know how so how can I help? The one time I tried to download it it wouldn't work, so I couldn't help beta test either. Of course it's quicker than a paper system, that isn't what I said. I said I don't see ...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015
I noticed when I was signing up on Antlog that it's only the ants that you sign in for the AWS. It allowed me to add my nano too but cleared it off again when I realised it just said antweights. I can see others doing the same! I'm not really sure that this will make things less confusing on the day...

Well done Peter, you've surpassed yourself. That's a worse name than Deflea. I'm very proud.
