Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
An unsupported 2mm plate will be fine, though these days I tend to fold the outer edges to ~45 degrees and have the folded edges sit outside the chassis in an effort to deflect spinners. Be aware though that the heavier the flipper arm, the more difficult it will be to selfright, so adding more mass...

Re: "Sioc" Build Diary
That's looking very neat! A cabletie works well for holding motors in.
As for the glitching drive, seems to be a problem with the new V2 controllers and those servos. Easily fixed with a 6.3v 220uF capacitor across the 5v line

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Hmm, it's not a problem I've ever come across. If it's still not working, send it back to me along with the DSMX RX and I'll see what the problem is.

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds
Just as an experiment, try it on the Aileron and Rudder channels. It may be that the DSMX lemons have a different output rate that the ESC is struggling with. If it works on Aileron and Rudder but not Aileron and Elevator then I can reprogram it to fix that.

You got a pic of how you've set it up? It should be on the Aileron and Elevator channels of the RX

Re: Another New Antweight..
Bit of a while since I posted in this thread (Those blades WERE fun!). Just been doing a bit of testing of the PicoTwos, hadn't been able to until now as the RX I designed them around was dead so had to order more from china. But they arrived today and it's all working now. Fitted it in Harold just ...

Re: "Sioc" Build Diary
Looks good! I'm planning on getting a heat gun to bend the polycarb sheets into my desired shape You don't actually need a heatgun for 1.5mm polycarb, it folds very similar to stiff card when cold, and is how most of the polycarbonate robots are built. one motor takes longer to start than the other ...
