Re: Cheap DC Motor Controller?

So would something like a Baby Orangutan board be any better as a speed controller? I have seen others that look similar but seem to lack the motor drive chip such as the Adafruit Trinket. Could I possibly combine the Trinket and the motor drive chip posted previously to save some cash or should I s...

Cheap DC Motor Controller?

Hello all, I have been looking around for cheap ESCs for a long time and have finally stumbled across this: http://proto-pic.co.uk/motor-driver-1a-dual-tb6612fng/ Would this be of any use? It states it is controlled by PWM signals and seems to have 3.2A peak stall current so I think it mught be OK. ...

Re: SG90 Speed Hacking

Would it be gluing the 2nd and 4th gears and removing the third? Do you know if airfix glue or similar would work? Thanks!

Re: SG90 Speed Hacking

I have tried speed hacking one of these to no avail. I really do not know how to do it properly. Does anybody else know how to speed hack these SG90s? Pictures would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: team playzooki or whatever im gonna call it

You could possibly the the case off of the receiver which in my case shed 7g. Could be more for your one as it is a bigger rx. Good luck getting it to run inverted!

Perfect! Thanks, I am trying that today with my rebuild after its appalling performance. I will let you all know what happens!

Re: AWS 45 - Coventry - 1st November 2014

I'm using SG90s for drive. They are analogue servos so could possibly suffer from interference due to induced current on the signal wire. Will have to experiment though. Brought it home, fired it up and no issues like that in the slightest. Spooky! Does also tend to lose travel in flipper servo when...

Re: AWS 45 - Coventry - 1st November 2014

Using a cheap MLP4DSM and the new (only arrived last week) OrangeRx R615X DSMX receiver. It could possibly be caused by induced current or interference created by my Park HPX F or due to a component on the receiver causing issues. I also have one in the second part of the Antivation Cluster and that...

Re: AWS 45 - Coventry - 1st November 2014

Thank you all for an outstanding event! I just wish my robots were better! Hoondal started driving itself and spinning around uncontrollably after use of the throttle channel for the flipper which was quite rubbish. Did anybody else have this problem? I had a great time and a huge number of fights s...

Thanks! No, no weapons but innovative, almost peculiar designs which could be rather effective. We shall see on the day! :-)
