@Dave26: it's driven by SD200 gearboxes, so it's that kind of speed.

@Hib: improvement opportunities: faster gearboxes, rear opponent/line detection, better armour, lithium batteries, 4WD etc etc...

DT Project complete. Feedback please...

I'm gonna add a couple of small wedges between the transducers tomorrow, but other than that, it's complete. (in theory) it chases and...

Did anyone film the Franz v DBA suicide match? Good DVD though Pete.

The ATR is nearly done. Not sure if it works. No line detection yet-no time for that (deadline next Fri) but I THINK that the opponent detection works.

Case looks good though-got it vac formed yday, and the graphics look nice. Watch for video or photos v soon

PeteC, that new Hitec isn't actually a 40MHz rx (at least the one i was sent isn't) but i know there is a 40MHz one available (it says on the side of it), and my 35MHz version works fine with 40MHz crystals anyway. It's actually the same weight as a feather and is, in my opinion, far better in terms...

Taking a Break

Just to let you all know, I'm taking a break for about a year or so.

Two reasons for this a) A-levels and b) can't get to any events for ages, so I can't really see the point.

I can't make it.

A levels not finished by then (still got one to do after that) Can't afford to be knackered for it, which i would be.

I'll have a full army too-Autonomous, Super, maybe a flea, and 4 ants. I'll have finished my A-levels by then (last one is English, I do believe-it's usually the last exam of the sessions)
