Re: Hi New Member and Team

If you search eBay for" M2 nuts and bolts" then you'll be able to select a length and the number you want, all pretty cheap too. :D

Build Diary for a new antweight

I haven't got any plans to complete this quickly, but I figured I'd make a thread early as a motivation. My first antweight is too large to be classed as a legal antweight, and is somewhat fragile, also looking, in passing, like the original Ripper that featured on Robot Wars. My expectations aren't...

Re: There's something wrong with my electronics...

Unfortunately, no. Does it say somewhere on the transmitter and receiver? The spare receiver has the casing removed so I'd be unable to check if so. I might just buy a separate set. Would you be able to recommend a set that wouldnt require a V Tail mixer like my current set does?

Re: There's something wrong with my electronics...

Ah ok. A quick ebay search earlier returned no results for polycarb so I originally dismissed it, but after double checking that appears to have changed significantly haha. I have a fair amount of leftover stuff, just missing a second transmitter and my receivers a little smashed up. Thats another q...

Re: There's something wrong with my electronics...

Ok, thanks guys, I guess for next robot I'll try some 1mm perspex and using bolts to stick it together. Maybe try some zip ties to hold down important components. Are there any cheap pre made motor mounts btw; I bent my own last time but they didn't entirely fit properly.

Re: There's something wrong with my electronics...

You'd never believe it but immediately after posting this first message I decided to try one last thing and charge the battery again like I had done earlier. This time though, the LED went red on the charger instead of green, so after leaving it for a few minutes I tried it with the receiver and eve...

There's something wrong with my electronics...

Hello, I doubt many will remember me as I think I posted once but anyway, I recently became interested again in pursuing my course of action in making an antweight robot but have come across a few problems, the first of which being that something in my selection of electronics isn't working and I'm ...

Re: Hellooo!!

Thanks for replying, Dave. So, will any mixer do? I've done a quick ebay search (always the way :P), and the most common and cheapest components I've found are V Tail mixers? Are they what I'd be looking for? Thanks for the help btw, I'm not very knowledgeable in this sort of thing. EDIT:Apologies A...

Hellooo!!

Hii, new member here and my name's Sean. I've been interested in antweights for a good year or so now, enough to buy a kit from this site, from Pete Collier,(huge thanks for that btw, wouldn't have known where to start without it) but after numerous redesigns I sort of gave up and my interest waned....
