Flipper weapon switch mod for DX6i

Has anyone actually tried modding their DX6i to add an instantaneous flipper switch on the Throttle channel? If so - how straightforward is it? Is it simply a case of wiring a push-to-make switch between the centre connection of the throttle pot and whichever end of the pot corresponds to lowest res...

Re: Fusion 360

Depends how you've got your tabs/toolboxes set up but right click the body in question in the browser (aka "stack on the left" ;) ), then select "Physical Material". The Physical Material toolbar has two sections - swatches of materials already "In this design" and and ...

Re: Team Antiquarian & Anthony's Ant Army (almost) ready for battle

Little by little, we're edging closer to the point of being ready for AWS61... Recycler has had a few tweaks, including a new drum and replacing the ABS body with Polymax PC . From the left; Recycler III++ with it's new drum, the old drum (printed in blue HK Polycarb), plus a new, toothless and safe...

Re: Team Antiquarian & Anthony's Ant Army ready for battle

OK, that's enough spinners for now. Time to get flippy. This is my latest work in progress. Wanted to try something other than the conventional 4-bar flipper mechanism. I did briefly consider copying Alex's gear-wheel arrangement from ICBINS (could have called it "I can't believe it's not {I ca...

Starting to think I may have to uproot the family and relocate to somewhere around the Midlands, just so as to maximise the number of antweight events that are within range...

Re: Team Ions build diary

For testing servos, use a servo tester. I got a "LiteBee HJ Digital Servo Tester" from Amazon for about ten bucks (as i believe one would say your side of the pond). Lots of other models available at similar prices. Basically you plug a lipo into one set of pins and the servo in another (g...

Re: AWS 61 - Wolverton, Milton Keynes - 15th March 2020

Hi Ben,
Thanks for confirming. Will it be the same arena used for RoboShowdown (as per this vid)?

Also - any plans for a flea-weight comp before the start?

Re: Rules Question: Multiple Clusters on a team?

Respect! Would have been tough keeping them all working through an event, though at least you can standardise on spares.
Sadly, The Spin Twins aren't identical cos one's a horizontal spinner and the other's a vert, though it's only the weapon arm that differs.
