Re: AWS 60 - Headington, Oxford - 30th Nov 2019
hey Dave, i filled out 1 form for myself, my son and my mrs, is this ok or would you prefer a separate one for each? I'm sorting the form (it's for my work). I need to keep an eye on numbers, so ideally each person needs their own form / own entry on the form (if you tick yes to extra people, it le...

Re: servo gears
When Im back of holidays I will.upload crabulon..he was entirly printed of PLA at 20% infill. Why this insanity? Well that crabulon was only ever ment to be a prototype for the ABS version. I have a cad of the battle verson that was more crab like. But my printer broke so i thought best to use the ...

Re: servo gears
Files here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3200932 Crabulon was so cool to watch - I regret not coming to take a proper look, will make a point of it at the next event! Did your gear train loose teeth during the battle? What did you print it out of? I use Fusion360 for CAD - it's been a steep lea...

Re: servo gears
What measures did you take to get the gear running concentric? I wasn’t that scientific – printed the cog to the same height as the horn, stuck some superglue inside and pushed the horn in, then used a flat bit of scrap to push it down to keep it level. Because it’s so small any variance is unnotic...

Re: servo gears
The servo pincer was me - there's a cut down servo horn glued inside the cog to make it stay put! I started modelling the grippy teeth for inside but quickly got bored counting teeth and decided to take the easier route. It's not pretty but it works :). I've been having issues with the (ABS) teeth o...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

Came home with so much inspiration for my next ants, so thanks everyone for sharing and being so willing to show me inside their robots. Mostly need to practice my driving now befor...

Re: Newbie - DasMikro Burnout
This also just happened to me 2 days ago - scared the life out of me! I was pretty sure I hadn't shorted anything, so emailed Banggood a picture of the blackened chip and they're sending me a new one, no issues :). Just soldered up my second one but haven't tested it yet, keeping my fingers crossed...
