Re: Argh, need help.

That looks like a short on the motor side somehow. Its an easy fix. Bring it to Antfreeze and i'll lend you one for the day while I repair yours, though I may be able to swap the chip out before the event starts. I'll be the one with too many robots and an orange furry waistcoat :P

Re: NanoTwo Kits

Because I am terrible at actually selling these things (as anyone who has tried to buy one off me recently will know) I've got Alex to do it for me!

NanoTwos are now supplied here: https://nutsandbots.co.uk/product/nanotwodualesc/

I won't be supplying them directly any more.

Re: Servo problems.

Most ESCs in the higher weight classes and many smaller brushless ESCs use an external crystal oscillator to avoid this drift, but small brushed ESCs tend to save the space and cost of a crystal, and just use the internal oscillator built into the chip, which is very susceptible to temperature chang...

I've got a friend at Southampton uni who's interested in coming and watching for a bit.. What's happening with numbers? Is it strictly X number of people allowed in the room or what?

Re: Receivers

I got mine to bind ok on both DSM2 and DSMX with a Devo 7E. Just finished putting another DSMX Pico controller using one of the Orange RX. They work fine but the binding isn't particularly user friendly as you have to poke a wire through a hole in the heatshrink, so I'm not sure they'll see producti...

Re: Receivers

I made a pico dual ESC earlier in the year that fits onto one of those orange RX. Worked great, just never got round to making more than one of them. Was aiming to have it as a DSMX replacement for the NanoTwo, but couldn't work out a user friendly and easily manufactured way to initiate the bind. I...

Re: AWS 52 - Greenwich University - Sign up + details

First AWS I'm gonna miss sadly; It's 8 hours there and back, and for a one day event where I haven't got any new bots to test out it's just a bit far.
