Re: Robot Name Clearing House

The fear of the number 666 is called hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia...that's pretty daft :P

Re: AWS55 - Call for volunteers

Chris, Some complications have arisen with us. As it stands we are still just about on course to attend but may have to clear off quite sharpish afterwards now. There is also a smaller possibility that we may not make it at all. If it does work out we should still be OK to help set up but I thought ...

Re: AWS55 - Call for volunteers

Hi Chris. Scott and Joe can't make it any more so it's just me and Craig for volunteering. I will do the work of 3 men to adjust, so don't worry :)

Though if anyone else fancies coming in early enough, let's go team!

It's not my event but based on previous experience of that level of competition, I imagine if you're not there and tech-checked by about 10am, you'd probably miss the draw. Just based on how much we'll have to crack on.

Re: Accucell 6 charger

You need a plug like the one on the left of this pic.

Should be easy to get one and solder it on.

Re: Spinner not spinning

The three beeps mean power is getting to the controller at least. If you could do pictures or a video it might be easier to diagnose.

Does the motor twitch at all or completely nothing? Can it spin without a blade/load attached?

Re: No control

It's often something small. I've been competing well over a decade and the other month I couldn't get a robot to work because I had the bind plug in the wrong socket on a Lemon, ha. Happens to us all.

Re: No control

Some pictures might help so we can see if you've got everything in the right place. Or even a short video of you trying to bind.

Re: Antescher Assault Systems build diary

Yup, you are correct, it's absolutely fine as long as the spikes start in the position they fit in the cube in.
