Re: Bonding GRP
What are you bonding to it? And do you mean the preformed grp sheets or the stuff that you mould into shape yourself? I've found that ordinary superglue is really effective at sticking together the peformed sheets, even glueing be edge of one piece to the face of another (so they are perpendicular t...

Re: EDFs
I kinda agree with Dave on this, it doesn't seem quite right to ban a particular design just because it is successful. However, I have nothing against altering the arena to disfavour robots that are generally disliked and seen as boring (ie. Pushers!) I would win a lot more fights if I went back to ...

Re: Dominance of pushers at AWS46
Yeah I see what you are saying Dave, I still think what I said is true but like I said before I'm very happy to see how the new design works and will be happy to be proved wrong. As long as the arena is adaptable so it can be changed if necessary then I'm all for experimenting!

Re: Dominance of pushers at AWS46
Hi, Don't want to start another debate but one thing that strikes me when I see this design, it seems to favour pushers; by going with the idea that we shouldn't have low walls etc. as they are unfair to pushers as they can't really use them it now sort of means there is no point building anything o...

Wow, I'm impressed with the quality.
What camera did you use for that? Do you have a link?

Re: Morgrugyn Destruction (Non-AWS) - 30 May 2015 - Caerphil
You can't have an arena that doesn't give anyone an advantage, no walls favours pushers, low walls favours flippers, battle box with full height walls favours spinners.

Re: brushless help
He says he is using one of Rory's boards so the esc will be connected to the throttle channel Make sure you bring the throttle stick the whole way down and the trim for the throttle channel in the centre or if anything up a bit. Often the esc won't start working until the throttle stick is the whole...

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings
Let me guess you've now got so many robots that you are building a wheelbarrow to move them to and from the robot check in desk?

Re: Weapon help
I found this at school: http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/ii593/maxmedhurst/rOBOTS/F900FBEE-033D-4FF1-A3F2-E50803889BC1.jpg Which is a small linear actuator, weighs about 30g and was able to lift a drinks can when I placed it on top of the moving arm. I imagine it could be hooked up to an esc givi...
