Hey,
I'm going to try out the SG90s running regular gearmotors, has anyone got a pair of gearmotors they'd be happy to sell? I need some asap to make up a prototype to check/show all the planned components work together before my Uni robotics club orders a bunch.

Re: Team MedBots
Hey Guys,
2 related questions:
-Can the servo boards from SG90s run the normal micro gearmotors on 2s?
-alternatively could the BEC in a brushless esc supply enough power to drive 2 SG90s running gearmotors?
Trying to come up with a list of components for the cheapest possible competitive Antweight

3D printers
Hi, I'm looking at getting a 3D printer, I want to get something decent that will do good prints (don't want to have my own 3D printer then still have to get shape ways to print it as I can't get the quality needed) but also don't want to pay more than I have to. What do you guys recommend? One that...

Re: Team MedBots
Thanks I'll make all of those changes. I did have a go with design spark but I found it confusing and hard to use but I imagine I would get used to it with practice, the nice thing about Fritzing is it lets you design the circuit on a breadboard then automatically generates the PCB then you juts hav...

Re: Team MedBots
Thanks guys, I've fitted more elastic bands and now its even more powerful!
I've re-jigged the board layout and am now much happier with it: Can anyone see any potential problems or have any comments before I see if I can get it printed?
Thanks in advance!

Made some modifications:

Still need to find a good way of putting a switch or sensor in to stop the arm at just the right time.

Re: Team MedBots
Ok I'll have a look at that. Here is the latest project: http://youtu.be/tRFs32l8ZUU It's (meant to be) a spring powered flipper, at the moment it os using a peice of glass fibre sheet which gets bent to act as the spring but that needs some work. It has a 250:1 polulu motor to pull down the flipper...

Re: Team MedBots
Hi, I'm trying to make a simple control board for that motor based around an ATtiny85 chip programmed using an Arduino. The program itself it very simple, it monitors the throttle channel and when it goes above half way motor is turned on, then it starts waiting for a button to be pressed, once butt...

Re: Team MedBots
Need to order a HP 298:1 gearmotor from polulu, I see there is a choice of long lasting carbon brushes or precious metal brushes. I've never used the carbon brushed ones, are they any good? I fear the brushes whikst longer lasting may be more liable to breaking due to shock impacts. Can someone who ...
