Re: Non-AWS event - June possibly - South Wales
Hi Dan, Nothing is set in stone yet, but entries will probably be limited to 3 robots per team, instead of 4 as fights will probably take longer. So you couldn't have a flipper, spinner, grabber AND a cluster bot. But you could have any 3 of them. And as for Hogi, it doesn't have to sit out. This wo...

Re: Non-AWS event - June possibly - South Wales
Ok, cool, I'll go ahead and book 30th May, unless there's any objections?

Re: Non-AWS event - June possibly - South Wales
Right, the hall is free on pretty much all the dates in May/June. I'm potentially busy on 6th June. So that leave 23 May, 30 May or 13 June. Any preferences? Or would Sundays be easier for people?

Ah dear, all sounds very complicated. I'm not going to start building mine until 18th April, so if either you or Scott fancy posting some advice on your own builds or setup, please feel free.

Re: Non-AWS event - June possibly - South Wales
We could potentially charge entry fee to try and cover that? Didn't RRC used to charge £5 a team? That really isn't much when you look at all the other costs.
I know it's never nice to charge for entry, but it could be a stepping stone to making it a more permanat event.

Non-AWS event - June possibly - South Wales
Hi all, As I'm sure many of you have seen elsewhere on the forum I'm thinking of organising a non-AWS event some time before the next AWS. The main reason was just to try and make up for missing the AWS last weekend. But after reading the rules discussion section I thought it might be an idea to pla...

Re: Possible summer event (not AWS)- University of Reading
I didn't have my heart set on organising an event, I was just a bit gutted about having to miss the AWS last weekend and didn't want to wait until the next one for some action. And then then when I saw the rules thread I thought it might be an idea to have a more experimental antweight event. But if...

Re: Dominance of pushers at AWS46
The third minute in the second final of AWS 41 was pretty gripping! Would anyone fancy going along to a non-AWS event before the next AWS? I was considering seeing if there was any interest if I was to organise a non-AWS event in the next couple of month. If there is, maybe we could experiment a bit...
