Re: Small ESCs outside the UK

Oooh okay, consider my knowledge updated  Now who was it who told me that was what braking was I wonder? O.o Regardless, yeah, the dasmikros aren't good boards, but they are small and do what they need to. I will continue to defend them as cheap and easily available escs, but it's also worth no...

Re: Small ESCs outside the UK

You don't want brake Brake is something used in rc cars, where if you go straight into reverse it applies a brake instead of reverse. Without brake is good. *edit* I'm completely wrong here. George corrects me a few lines down, but for clarity: I'm totally wrong about brake. Brake is good. The Dasmi...

Re: Small ESCs outside the UK

Someone posted an aliexpress thing on 360 degree servos the other day, the boards in them apparently run happily off 2s and are really tiny and capable 2 way 1 channel esc's. I've placed an order, looking forwards to trying them out. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/DOMAN-R ... 2e0eyqMeae Otherwise t...

Re: Malenki-ESC open source Antweight ESC

Would absolutely be interested in trying one - what kinda rx would I need to make the fancy 1 wire signal thing work? I usually use lemons, do you know if their bind pin would support it?

Re: Orange rx

Having never used an Orange, I'm not sure how useful this would be, but I can show you what I've done on my devo?
EDIT you're mixing on your rx and not your tx? Right. I don't have a clue then :D

DVD-RW motor?

So all I know about this is we had an old DVD-rom drive. Old as in PATA old. Anyway, it was kinda dead - so I killed it more. With reckless abandon, I ripped out all the motors (all 3 of them - the tiny little brushless on the wormgear looked like that was the dead part of the drive as it was a litt...

Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

The majority of recievers run on 5v - you'll need a 5v bec in between it and the Lipo. Most escs have a bec built in, but if you're running off servo boards then I guess you'll need your own https://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/product/micro-bec-voltage-regulator-3-3v-5v-12v/?attribute_pa_bec-output=b...

Hahaha it is gone now :D

*KABOOM*
Ye. I'm probably being paranoid, but the idea of removing anything from the battery itself scares me :/
Besides, how much do you actually save by shelling a lipo?
