Re: Another New Antweight..

I think Bad Idea might be my favourite recent ant so I'm pleased to hear its getting more potent. Maybe we should make a special prize for the next spinner to win an AWS. Been way too long.

I think if I ever tried to do something like that the Universe would wave a white flag.

Re: Melees

I ran one of my AWSs how Rory suggested before. First round 1on1, winners went through. Then losers when in go 4 melees with only the winners progressing. Then 1on1 again (which left us with 3), then another losers melee to get a 4th, then simple from there. Much less robots back then of course but ...

Re: Melees

Rory, yes, not antlog compatible, but much quicker to draw as all you have to do is draw robots into the melee groups then draw up the further fight chart which is very easy. But yeah, I take the point. Alex, yeah, my only concern was about the melee winner not benefitting from it. I considered mayb...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015

That's a good idea! I'm guessing tweaks can still be made on the day (adding/removing people who forget/change/dont turn up)? As long as all the threads are kept track of it could really help with the speed of it.

Re: Fix on the forum viewing profiles bug?

New tiny forum issue - on the event sign up, if you click on the box for 'cluster', it doesn't do anything. The 'walker' button puts (walker) next to the robot on the sign up but the cluster one doesn't.

Melees

Hi all. Been having a debate in my own head for ages now and as its a bit quiet on here I thought I'd open it up. It's about having first round melees at an AWS. I know this suggestion has been dismissed in past debates, mainly due to the ability to 'gang up' on the good or favourite robots to get t...
