Re: 3d printing conundrumss

My printer's about 8 months old. I love it. As Alex says, there's great value in iterating a design (except most of my bots are about the 10th print not 2nd or 3rd like Alex!) There are other pluses too. I go to a local market once a month with my printer and demonstrate it working. People are fasci...

Re: Team Coolspeedbot's robot builds

First fight: So for the first fight Jessica took control of Bunny-Ears when it went up against one of Dave's robots (I forgot what it was called) and well as expected Bunny-Ears lost but Jessica managed to give Dave a run for his money, not bad for a 8 year old. Sadly Bunny-Ears struggled to get a ...

Re: Antweight World Series 51 - Peasedown St. John, 29th October 2016

Thanks to Harry for organising. Looking forward to the video - I appreciate your effort on these. We had fun - won more fights than previously (often due to a Team Termite failure though  ) It was good to chat to folks again, esp. as we won't be there for 12th Nov. I'll be making (remaking!) im...

Re: UserFriendly Build Diary

New Robot: Triant After my youngest came to me with some sketches of a new robot, I had to have a go at designing them. He came up with this idea for a triangle with wheels, that could drive in any orientation, so I designed this: http://i.imgur.com/jaW9LqS.jpg Unfortunately, after some disasters o...

Re: Part recommendation

Hmm, I think so, but I'm a little sketchy on the use of BECs. That ESC has a built in BEC, and the NanoTwo has one. I think if you connect it to the same battery, you need to cut the red wire on the servo wire, so the two BECs don't have to try and supply the same wire. Perhaps someone else here can...
