Re: AWS44 - Brize Norton, Oxfordshire

Re: Team 1202 Build Diary
Although it may be slightly off topic, I would suggest that when competing against spinners that having a defensive stance will not work in your favour. Attack from where and when possible, doing so will possibly mean that you could prevent the disk from spinning up to full speed with enough luck/sk...

Baby-O speed controllers
I've bought some Baby-O esc from Pololu to replace the Sabretooth in my robot's setup, however I am uncertain about a couple of things. Firstly, where am I supposed to connect the power leads to, and secondly will I need to programme the esc or can it be used straight out of the packet once soldered...

Re: Team 1202 Build Diary
Just stick a couple of nails to the back of the robot, it'll solve your problem and also give you a bit more offensive capability.

Re: Fleaweight World Series Questions
To be honest, flea weight rules are fine as they are, asking to increase the size here would pretty much be the same as asking to increase the size limit of the ants as they both have the size limits that they were originally intended to have, which should be fixed rules. The size limit is just as m...

Box camera operation
I bought a box camera today at a boot fair for a fiver, does anyone have any experience using a Conway popular model or something vaguely similar, such as another Conway or a Coronet. Any advice regarding what the time and filter buttons/switches do would be appreciated.

Are the baby-O ESCs any smaller than the sabretooths?

Mixing for brushless escs.
Ok, so I was thinking about the possibility of using brushless motors to drive a robot, however there is one thing that may prove to be an issue aside from the possibly uncontrollable speeds which is mixing for brushless escs. As only one brushless motor can be used for each esc, will this mean that...

Servo escs
I've been thinking about possibly switching out the Sabretooth that I'm currently using for some of the escs found in servos (HS81 servos to be precise) to save weight and to get everything to fit inside the frame. Would I require a capacitor to use this with a polulu 50:1 micro metal gear motor and...
