Re: What is a team?

because thats the rules... the main point of creating a team is so that its much harder to end up drawn against your own robot. having a team keeps your (up to) 4 entries seperate. whether you have 4 robots, or just 1, the same rules apply... double elimination... so every robot needs to lose twice ...

Re: AWS'60 Results Analysis

to me, he span it left hand means anti-clockwise on a horizontal spinner...

if you are going for a vert, just have a 100rpm motor on the left and a 1000rpm motor on the right... there will be plenty of left hand spinning ;)

https://youtu.be/GRSzb-Lg9Uw

this is to hopefully clear up any confusion, and to show the different ways i fit some of my bots in the cube...

a bit nostalgic looking at some of these robots now...

Re: Noob build questions

for n20 motors, its pololu that sell the high power ones that i know of (there may be more) popular speed ranges from about 500-700 rpm at 6v (1000-1400 rpm if they are 12v motors) i only work in rpm so i dont know what these equal as a ratio... i only know that 30/1 is popular. i get mine from ebay...

Re: Noob build questions

hello, alleged king of chinese esc's here (-_-) if weight is not an issue then i too recommend the bustophedon esc's... they are practically bombproof. however for simplicity there are 2 esc's that i use in most of my bots... this 5a one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-Way-Bidirectional-ESC-2S-3S-5A...

Re: About transmitters...

not sure if thats failsafe set up or as you said, the esc stopping due to no signal... my drive auto failsafes but spinners don't. without failsafe set, my spinner will just keep on spinning until it gets signal again.

setting the failsafe via tx did nothing for me with the fs2a
