Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

Ahh that makes sense, thanks Shakey!
So basically I need to take a run-up before kicking the opponent in the gonads with this spinner.

Better hold out for some 2S ESCs. Do you have an ETA on your ones, which do seem to be the gold standard! :)

Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

@George: Thanks a million for the advice on parts. I will keep an eye on shakey's shop. Im eager to get started so may try and pick up some other ESCs in the interim. Would rather 2 ESCs ideally - just because i can actually fit them in the bot then xD it's getting tight! Found some ESCs for 1S batt...

Re: Peter Wallers Robot Ramblings

Looks great! :D really inspiring as the design in a similar principle to what im trying to build at the moment! Can i ask how heavy the chassis was to hold all the parts? And also the brand of drive ESCs. That's the last part in struggling with (Shakey's ESCs are out of stock) Using the toothed belt...

Re: Antweight First Build - EddieJ

Update time for the bot! :D It's been on a diet Decreased in size, lost wheels, motors are smaller, Drum is 20% smaller (it had to be done, 80g for a weapon setup was just going to be too tight after adding things like connectors, wires, mountings etc) Attached some new images I was hoping to get so...

Re: 3D printer supplies

Awesome with the dual extruders, i guess you will load one with PLA for a nice melt away support? The print on the right looks like the flow rate may be a little high? I know your problem with Cura, for fdm im running an ultimaker which also only wants files through the SD card. Good luck with the n...

CNC Mill for Antweights? Recommendations?

I'm probably going to be milling a load of auminium parts for my new antweight bot :D And it will be more fun to get a CNC and do it myself For my company we have 5 3D printers of various flavours, but I'm totally new to CNC machines. Does anyone have any recommendations for a small but accurate CNC...

Eddie J - DisinfectANT , Cilit BANG

Hi everyone! With a few local events happening near where I live in the next few months - it's time to bite the bullet and build an antweight at last :D I have no clue about electronics beyond a basic understanding. But for my day job I run a suite of 3d printers and make 3d models, for the past 8 y...
