It's an interesting thing to play around with :D I imagine with more propellery power it's going to be increasingly difficult for you to turn left when the prop is at full speed. I think you are right, it is good to keep things compact and "dense". But for some bots like grabbers or crushers, making sure you are sized right is pretty important :P Definitely get your RC car converted to tank steering for a beetle conversion! Or turning around after hitting a wall will be like...

I think given the curved shape of the rollers, casting silicone tyres onto them might be a bit tricky, I'd have to think about it and see what could be done.
