Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

A look at the internals http://i.imgur.com/IVyYKN0.jpg here's a better photo of inside the bot. The servo rests on a table which the Nanotwo and wires fit underneath, the motor mounts screw to a raised section of the base giving it a very low ground clearance and the flipper mechanism is bodged fro...

Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

Thanks Alex! I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll be able to get down to an event sometime in the near future. In regards to the budget I found a website called 3Dhubs.com where you put in what type of material and the colour you want and it hooks you up with 3D printers near you that can do it. (actuall...

Re: Bandit's Bot-Building Blog

Thank you :) The photo's don't quite do it justice, the orange is a bit stronger irl too. I think a Ti skirt would add some protection but also look pretty cool. Not sure if there's enough room for a larger battery though unfortunately.

Re: Build Diary for a new antweight

10/10 on style points! Let's hope it fights just as well. It does look like it'll be a worthy opponent in the ant arena! Great job :)

I don't have any messages from you on that?[/quote]

I sent an email! I'm sure it was to the right place. Just a couple of questions about the service you offer as I should be done in a few days. If you didn't receive it then I can send you a message through here!

Re: Robot Wars TV Series 2016 BBC 2

I was lucky enough to be at the filming and see Nuts and of course all the other bots in action! As a kid I always wanted to watch robot wars so it was a dream come true! seeing the filming reminded me of my passion for robots and after talking to a few people here I learned about antweights and hen...

Re: Build Diary for a new antweight

I love the theming and aesthetic of this robot! It'll be one of the coolest looking teams out there. Can't wait to see photos/videos of the finished bot in action. Any plans for which mythical beast will be next?

Re: First time questions. Switches, LEDs and 3D printing

One thing on 3D printing is don't skimp out on bulking the chassis, your armour is only as good as what you bolt it to. I print in ABS for it's nice material strength that has a density of 1g/cm^3 so you can put a lot of plastic into the chassis without worrying about weight. Thanks again for great...
