Re: AWS 47 - Stoke Sub Hampton - July 4th 2015

I was lazy and left my repairs until this week, and it's been too hot to solder :(. Lets hope I can get Entropy repaired tonight.

Re: Earthwormjim's Stuff

Hah, I definitely intend to play when I have enough stuff painted, and I know there's a few other roboteers with armies sitting around as well (Andy and Marco). We'll have to have a roboteer's 40k day :P.

Re: Earthwormjim's Stuff

I didn't know you did 40k; you'll have to post your stuff in off-topic ^^. I was intending to do so once I actually got enough painted for it to be worthwhile.

Re: TinyTwo Speed Controllers

The regulated 5-6v supply that a component feeds back to the receiver comes from what is known as a BEC - or battery elimination circuit. You only want to have one active BEC feeding back into the receiver in your system. So if your receiver already has power from the TinyTwo, then yes, you'll want ...

Re: Earthwormjim's Stuff

Is that an Adeptus Mechanicus seal I see on Hellboy, Jim? I always thought a Mechanicus-themed robot team would be cool ^^.

I am also in favour, but really it's Rory's decision as he is the EO.

I don't believe it ever competed, so you should definitely enter yours! I'm always interested in seeing more expanding robots.

Re: Spur Gears

I find the gear that I want on SDP/SI, download the cad of it, and then modify it to suit my needs. This is how I got the pulleys for flux's drive printed and they work perfectly.

Re: Arena Discussions

Interesting developments. I'm definitely not telling you what you should do Peter, just giving more suggestions, but you could also consider only having two pits (could put diagonal walls in the other two to get around your dislike of corners), which might give you more options as to what you can do...

Re: Arena Discussions

Looking good peter! You're right that those pits do look bigger in real life than they did in the diagram, but we'll have to wait and see how they turn out. If you're still intending to have some small walls on the corners to prevent wall-sliding, that will contribute a lot to making the actual drop...
