Re: Cereal Killer

Yes I have, no it doesn't work with the standard firmware on the ESC, but I've written a custom firmware to make them work with the DasMikro RXs

Re: Brushless motor help

Those motors run fine on 2S; a lot of antweight spinners use them.

Re: Another newbie - does my parts list make sense?

Unfortunately yes it is DSM2 only, however the DSMX transmitters blade transmitters do apparently work with DSM2 as well. Though if you're spending £29 on a Blade TX, you might as well spend slightly more and get the much better value for money Devo 7E ( http://robotwars101.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f...

Re: 3d printing conundrumss

I got a printer a year ago and definitely have not used it enough to justify the cost :L I still think your build style suits polycarbonate construction better.

Re: Part recommendation

Eh, I rarely clean my iron tip, it's about 20 years old, and it still does 0.5mm pitch surface mount soldering just fine :L Cleaning it is good advice and will make your tips last especially if you're using a lot of flux, but you'll probably be fine without just doing wires for the occasional ant......
