Re: The AWS43 Feedback Thread

First off, massive thanks to everyone involved in running the event. I know how much work goes into it! I'm also relieved that AntLog2.0 ran so smoothly. There are plans afoot for an even better AntLog3, but I fully expect it to be a long while in the making... Thanks! As I said previously, AntLog ...

Re: The AWS43 Feedback Thread

... I was due to fight directly after the annihilator and competing in it would have left me needing to switch the battery and if any damage was inflicted by a spinner I would have fubbared any chance of competing with a fully functioning robot in the rounds after. Oops, this post slipped past me w...

Re: The AWS43 Feedback Thread

I object to the judges who had no idea how to judge a fight, non competing builders are meant to be the judges because if you dont understand what constitutes an attack you shouldnt be judging. I wouldnt be judging a figure skating because I don't know what would constitute a winning performance, i...

Re: The AWS43 Feedback Thread

Thanks! Good to know you enjoyed it. To address some of the points raised: The double elimination tool certainly helped You've got Gary to thank for that - I'm very embarrassed that I forgot to mention this in the first post, but I'd personally like to just say how perpetually impressed I am by Antl...

The AWS43 Feedback Thread

Hi everyone, This is Mark - you've probably seen me today pressing buttons on antlog and feeling slightly overdressed. After several months of planning, and a frantic evening of hacking away at the arena and arguing with the AV equipment, we've finally finished AWS 43. Firstly, I'd like to say thank...

Re: new tournament management software

Just thought I'd say - I know all's been quiet in this thread for a while now, but I'm still working on it. I'm going through a bit of an overhaul of the UI, so it might be a few more days yet, but there'll be a new version soon.

Re: new tournament management software

Ok, I've got a new version of draw.py done. I've decided it would be best to include it as a separate download - again, you can find it on the first post. Here's a quick summary of the changes: Group generation changed:- Default max size moved back to 16, will now always generate groups in binary mu...

Re: new tournament management software

Ah, sorry about the problems with v3. I've quickly fixed most of the problems, but there might be a few issues left with it. At any rate, I've updated the version in the first post to v3.2. I've fixed the crash with more than 64 robots, removed driver names from the display, and changed the default ...

Re: new tournament management software

Right, I've got a new version - the attachment on the first post has been updated. A quick summary of most of the changes: Removed incorrect finals and second finals in groups stage Altered randomiser to be base on date - it will now create the same groups every time it's run on the same day Fixed t...

Re: new tournament management software

Thanks for link to the charts, but I've actually already looked at those... unfortunately it seems I can't read them correctly . I'm sorry if my comment about testing got misconstrued - as I've said before, I don't want this to be used until it's fit to be used. I've been thoroughly testing wi...
