Re: AWS 50- 23rd July- Basingstoke

Hi there, remember me? I wouldn't be surprised if you don't. It's been while but it's that time again where I blow the dust away from my transmitter, realise how much in disrepair past me has left my ants and rush like a madman to make it to an event, in other words, I just signed up. I'm also enter...

Re: New Anticide

It is indeed a Fischertechnik cylinder, I run almost the same setup in Inertiant (that and a RS valve) just typical that as soon as I have mine working in battle, someone comes along and blows it out of the water. Very impressed, very jealous.

Re: :Wanted:

Hey guys. I'm looking for a member of the forum who has access to a Vacuum former, to make and print me a mould out of Polycarbonate for a project. It's a bit silly as I work for an engineering company and the only tool they (and every manufacturing company in the area I’ve talked to) don't have und...

Re: AWS 46- University of Reading- 28th March 2015

After some slick negotiation at work, I can now come to the AWS (just registered). Now I need to quickly put them back together again (meaning as we all know, working flat out till 3 AM the morning of the event to get more than 1 wheel working) It's that time again as well for any volunteers to driv...

Re: antweight open 2. 22nd november 2014

Phew, just entered. I've been quiet on the antweight scene as I've had a lot of big things in my life (learnt to drive new flat, new full-time job) but I'm now able to get back to the competitions. I know its short notice, but if anyone wants to have a go of driving/wants another ant I'm going to lo...

Re: How to fight with this robot

If you mean the spinner, than the best type of robot would tend to be a fast and well armoured pusher. The strategy usually is to try and get underneath the spinner using a wedge and try to ram the spinner into the arena wall (trust me, for safety the arena will be tougher than any robot). Either tw...
