Re: Autonomous Rules

The MiniSumo forum has always seen activity in waves, yes it's continuing to be quiet. Personally I'm plugging away at "low cost" builds to support schools but haven't published much recently - that never helps the ebb and flow of the community. I've missed notice of the last couple of eve...

Re: Birmingham TechFest (Micro Mouse 2011)

My sumo did much better than I expected It's definately a "well done", don't feel too bad about not beating Peter... we're all having that problem. I've still to edit the video and get it posted, I wouldn't mind getting some details of Wasabi together for minisumo.org.uk if you'd like to ...

Thats good. What voltage and Ampage can i put into them before they blow? If you look at the Specification portion of the page the forward current is the usual you'd expect for an LED 20mA, but I'd expect 10-15mA is OK. The forward voltage (Vf) is 1.7V I guess you know the calc for current limiting...

i have found that if my scoop is pushingthe other bot off, and then my scoop hits the floor forst, then i lose. You need to avoid getting too far under! While I understand Peter has hooks to stop Lowblow from becoming a speed bump, other have added similar features to ensure they don't go too fan u...

Hi Alasdair, I'd missed this thread. I read the scoop discription like a snowplough, there's nothing stopping you from using the shape or having it drop into place once the round begins. A couple of things to consider:- Starting position Speed of operation Ability to push If you've got to drop the s...

Video done (at last!) I hope this is works as a link:- Minisumo @ UKMM 2010 I've done a short write up here Minisumo @ UKMM2010 wiki but it needs a tweak with the embedded video and the overall scores are yet to be added. I really need to find an good video editor, windos moviemaker doesn't output w...

I had a few pictures of the minisumo at weigh-in but also have a copy of Mike's video.

I'm just editing into one video, I hope to up-load tonight/tomorrow. I post a link when done. One round with AFM was missed :-?
