Re: University of Greenwich Open day - Saturday July 1st

If it goes ahead there is a chance I'll be able to make it since it's only 15 minutes from my parents.

I'll have to build some new ants now

I've updated the first page with the venue and sign up.

I am also looking into streaming the event as usual.

Re: AWS 50- Date TBC- Camberley, Surrey

Hi guys, I'm sorry to report that after a lot of hassle and discussion, the college is no longer available to host the AWS. Despite an initial agreement being reached. Unfortunately with no funds available for an alternative venue I will have to pass on the running of the event to someone else. Sorr...

AWS 50

Since we are coming up to the next big one I thought we could do with a thread to decide who is up for hosting it. As some of you may know I will not be at the University of Reading for much longer so I won't be able to run it there. However I will soon be working at a school in Camberley which isn'...

Re: 3D printer supplies

Just been having a read through this- I bought a Prusa i3 just before Christmas and decided to have it fitted with the heated bed right away. It was taking ages to heat the bed so I wrapped a piece of cardboard with kitchen foil and clipped it under the bed, I then place another peice of cardboard o...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015

Huge thanks to Dan and everyone involved for a very well run and enjoyable event! I had my best result in quite a long time in the main event getting 3 of my ants into the top 16 with some excellent fights along the way. Also somehow managed 2nd and 3rd in the fleas too which was nice. Well done to ...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015

All set for tomorrow :) I did get Inertia 3 working but the ESC didn't like having the drive and disc running at the same time (it's one of the very old Rory boards so I'll let it off) inertia 11 has now morphed into number 12 since I had the chassis already http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac13/t...

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015

It didn't work very well so I took it apart.

I think I'll have another spinner ready, most likely Inertia 3 but maybe a horizontal..

Re: AWS 48, Basingstoke, 21st November 2015

After a last minute repair job on most of my robots I now have a team for Saturday :) I'm halfway through bringing back Inertia 3 and I'm really tempted to finish it. If I get enough time I will as it was one of the better versions :)

Re: Possible summer event (not AWS)- University of Reading

Hi Guys,

I've been trying to find a venue but everything around here is either fully booked or ridiculously expensive so I'll have to pass for now.
