Re: Arena Hazards
Point taken on symmetry... hadn’t thought of that if I’m honest, I’ll attach the “sketch” to help visualise everything, might make it easier for everyone to input. Although 2 ramps and 2 corner pits could work :| https://i.ibb.co/SnSmn1K/A764034-A-8-F68-4-B96-90-F2-2-D32709-A9-E73.jpg (I think I did...

Re: Arena Hazards
I agree regarding the spike trap if I’m honest... stupid... anyway, this is the whole reason o wanted opinions, none are wrong, just food for thought. Your main point is wholly where I am if I’m honest, I wanted to use the corner to leave as much flat area for fights as possible. An automated flippe...

Re: Arena Hazards
'Operator bias' is the main reason I've been thinking about static hazards... for now...
I fancy being able to add something a bit silly to spice things up a bit, although an automatic flipper does sound pretty cool...

Arena Hazards
What’s everyone’s feelings about arena hazards? Backstory; I was planning to build a battle box for testing purposes, then realised for an extra few quid in materials I could build a full arena, planning on having on edge as full drop-off and a rounded corner “pit” with corner stops to prevent simpl...

Re: Axe esc?
Seconded Vex29, rapid electronics has them in right now for less than £10, ordered 2 last week. Great bit of kit, just don't wire it in backwards...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.
Pads falling off the dasmikros isn't always their death - you can solder directly to the last component, though that isn't always easy. Yeah I've still got it in my toolbox, I've been fancying trying it actually, but I need a day my hands don't shake too badly I think... and possibly a smaller tip ...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.
and then it survived normal polarity, which is just as risky. :P I, and many others, don't believe you :P in fairness my dasmikro was tough as all hell until the pads fell off , I was only connecting the battery and it died, shrink wrap off and the positive terminal was flapping about. Yeah, I did ...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.
I thought that might be the case, I was clinging on to my optimism as hard as I could, thanks for clearing that up Shakey, fears confirmed... shopping time!

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.
IT LIVES!!!!!! sort of... Reversed the polarity and pit it back how it should be, and everything kind of works, the Vex29 is snappy and responsive, the grabber moves faster than I thought it ever would and it grabs with 750g or pressure at the tip, I'm delighted! But now for the kind of, the NanoTwo...

Re: Team Pushover's Ants Build Log.
I have weight spare, but not a lot of space, the electronics 'bay' is 71mmx65mmx10-40mm and has 2 ESCs, 3 motors and the oversize battery in there... it's probably as far as I can develop it without a new shell.
