Re: Summer 2020 event interest?

I'd definitely be interested if I could make it.

Re: What is a team?

If you want 2 different drivers, you can just enter as 2 different teams. You can also have the same robot in multiple teams, but not in the same competition. It's mainly to reduce numbers so that there is essentially a limit of 4 robots per person.

Re: What is a team?

Also (apart from clusters) each team has to have a separate driver

Re: Good speed for antweights?

Most antweights use approx 500rpm motors (or faster), so it would probably be a little bit slow (but not massively).
50:1 or 30:1 ration N20s are the usual motors people use.

Is there an absolute hard limit on how many robots that can be fitted in?
From what I've heard, the maximum antlog can cope with is 128

Re: Basic Flipper Hinge Question

They're each about 6 grams. I only used one, as they are relatively big (about 3cm long).

Re: Basic Flipper Hinge Question

For my first antweight I used a ready made plastic hinge: https://www.homecrafts.co.uk/mini-hinge-pack-of-10?gclid=CjwKCAjw67XpBRBqEiwA5RCocezAlQa5iv1mo19mMftZrmJpKAl_tVJunv_QQBdyLV3au55P7duc_BoCUQAQAvD_BwE Definitely not a perfect solution, but it works as a lower tech answer - and it looks good co...

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

I personally would prefer the possibility of 4 entries, with shorter fights to allow more time, rather than 3 entries. I do understand if it gets dropped to 3 entries on the day to reduce numbers for antlog though. I agree with kyro about being more restricted about delays due to robots not being re...

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

Coming from a newbie, with what I saw yesterday: In my opinion, a second arena would help speed things up, but with some drawbacks. Venues would probably have to be larger to accommodate the second arena (pushing costs up) and extra time allowances would probably have to be made for teams who have m...

Armour /chassis material

Hello, I have a few questions about making the main body of my robot now I've done the electronics: I've heard about some of the strengths and weaknesses of using hdpe and polycarbonate, but if you were making the chassis/Armour combined out of them, what are the best ways to connect them? I've hear...
