I second Peter - thanks for the info! I have 10 of the green Domon boards (phew!) and I look forwards to playing with them!

Amusingly one claims to be 3/4" and one 1/2", though they're the same size?) (edit: just measured. T...

Re: MichaelG92's Build Diaries

Oh, looking back over this whilst trying to find some excuse to not be sleeping, you mentioned wanting to find a better way to hinge your flipper? How has that gone? I personally use hinges to hinge my flipper. Uncreative, sure, but they work. I honestly just use the smallest hinges I could find in ...

Re: Team Pompidou First Antweight Build/Questions

With regards to soldering the dasmikro - my advice is soak everything in flux, load your iron with solder, touch it to each pad of the dasmikro. Once you've got a blib of solder on each pad of the dasmikro, load your wires similarly. Then, just hold the wire against the dasmikro and use the iron to ...

Re: Flea won't self-right

The obvious solution would be chemical welding or otherwise sticking a small polycarb fin to the top of the flipper. Far enough back that it won't interfere with the flip, but also such that your robot still naturally balances upside Down Otherwise... How much kick do you get from your servo? I don'...

Re: Pink servo??

Update on the KingMax servo I've been playing with: it's specific position control (potentiometer?) is not quite as smooth as that of the pink, but the power behind it is IMPRESSIVE. It's currently in a flipper my brother's making (same kinda design and mechanism as my Jammin Good with Weird and Fli...

Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

Can you not compensate for the lack of proportionate control by adjusting the scaling on your tx? Or is it too bad for that?

Re: Pre modded servo boards for escs?

I just had a paranoid look at the Doman boards I'd already ordered - Phew, mine are green!
I haven't had a chance to test them yet, but here's hoping!

That's... Not bad. I'll see how the ones I've got play (though I fear I may have the same results as you) and may well order some of those to try out!

I can't find the FT90R on Feetech? I've found some on AliExpress at £4 each, but on Feetech, I can only find the FS90R. Where did you get yours from?

Looking good! I'm not sure those Jaws open wide enough though - Kyro struggled to grab Jiggy with Mantis this weekend

Re: The Hotel Lima, for Ants: A Build Diary

I had a great time at robot club 2 - such a relaxed event! On the whole I'm really happy with how both Jiggy and Jammin' Good performed - Jammin' had the most problems. Drive kept cutting out for some reason, it wasn't often, but happened. And I'm not sure why. Both bots encountered self righting is...

Re: 5V bec?

I dunno why I thought lemons weren't happy with 2s, but I can confirm they're happy up to 10.2V!
Anyway, thanks for the info guys. I do wanna start paying with my own boards one day. Not any day soon, but one day!

Re: The Hotel Lima, for Ants: A Build Diary

So I was working on Pushbot, and I slipped with the hacksaw.
Wear gloves kids!
Cut to the bone, but thankfully no damage done.
Right. So Pushbot may not get finished as soon as I'd hoped.
