Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

Great - it was super last time. For anyone who wants to come by train- bring your bicycle - there is a really nice cycle path from Rugby station to the venue, I cycled there last year and it was very nice indeed. Looking forward to it. I just might consider joining you this year. Providing I can pa...

Re: AWS 57 (February 2019)

Is anyone willing to collect from Banbury train station? Or at least share a taxi? It’s quoted £25 each way and thats very expensive for 1 person.

Re: AWS rule polls 2019

A roller is described as: A robot whose final drive output rotates through more than 180 degrees (e.g. wheels)

Can we extend that to differentiate it from brissle bots and gyro bots?

Say: A robot whose final drive output making contact with the ground rotates through more than 180 degrees.

Re: AWS rule polls 2019

How do these votes affect the rules?
Is it just for the committee to gauge responses or are we voting rules in?
Is there a set percentage to pass?

Well done with the bots. I really like your shuffle drive. Well deserved sportsmanship award re assembling the bot after getting smashed apart.

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

Cheers guys. Had a great day out. Think I had a 6 in a row winning streak best run of luck so far. Feeling very satisfied as for a little while my robots ran to their potential. A well run event that finished impressively early. Thanks to Joe and Dave. You ran it with charm and professionalism. And ...

I know people are away at beetles. But I hope you can post up the timetable soon.
I assume it's a turn up around 9am.

Re: Team Phyte Antweight Builds & Event Reports

Oh, Baby! Vs Rented For The Roboteers Pleasure was my favourite fight of the competition. You were quite good at getting hold of a part of me and somehow twisting the robot around. Then I had lots of fun trying to flail about and wiggle away. The way my bot would dance around in the chain configurat...

Re: Increasing numbers

I would like to suggest that moving the entry requirements regarding clusters and walkers would slightly reduce numbers and add extra variety.

I suggest a 3 robot team should contain at least 1 walker or cluster.
A 4 robot team should contain at least 1 walker and at least 1 cluster.

Re: Increasing numbers

The idea of bot number 4 being a reserve. I expect that means 4 is out given large numbers. So here's a nice half baked suggestion. Could it be viable to be swapped in later. In the scenario there is a damaged robot on the team? This is not a perfect suggestion. It feels a bit unfair in some regards...

Re: AWS55 - 30th June 2018 - Dunchurch Village Hall

Thanks to Chris. ARC Robotics. All volunteers.

Had a great time out yesterday. I got to see what my new robot can do and see a lot of everyone else's. Got a real rush out of it.

Hope I can get back out for AWS 56.
