Ant Ipodean wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2018 6:44 am The numbers you are referring to are not rpm, but standard motor sizes, all bigger than the N20 motors you will likely be using in a 150 ant. The rpm should not have much affect on the capacity of ESC needed.
Thanks a lot!

Re: Hello! And some questions - And NEA Build Log of Sorts

Hi there. Thanks for providing the link to the ESCs you bought. I've been looking for an ESC recommendation after struggling to solder a DasMikro! (I'm very much a newbie to robot building). Do you (or anyone else) know if this ESC will work with 500rpm motors? The title on the site says "..Thi...

Re: How to wire an antweight

Thanks Peter.
Andrew, if there's anything you can do to make the photos visible to all, or advice you can give on what I can do at this end to see them, I'd be very grateful. It looks like a really helpful post. Thanks a lot.

Re: Help with first antweight

Hi and welcome. George has answered your questions but there are just a couple of things. First the motors are only 70 rpm so the robot will be extremely slow we normally look for 300 - 400 rpm at 6 V. Also you say you bought a secondhand DX6i which is a great transmitter but the older ones were DS...

Re: Help with first antweight

Hi, welcome to Antweights. The transmitter and motors certainly look good. The battery is a very good option, but you may want to look at the smaller/lighter 180mAh version, (the downside being I can only find it as a 5 pack currently?) - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-nano-tech-180mah-2s-25-4...

Re: How to wire an antweight

Am I the only one seeing the message "Please update your account to enable 3rd Party Hosting" instead of the photos? The replies seem to suggest other people see the pics. Thanks

Help with first antweight

Hi there. My Robot Wars-mad 9-year old has been hassling me for ages to build a Battle Robot with him. So, I’ve relented and plan to start with an Antweight. Problem is I have no electronics knowledge, zero mechanical knowledge, I’ve never soldered and basically have no clue. So......should be a cin...
