Re: Antweight open/AWS 2019

It's probably because I have the database locked from AWS58 - This should be resolved once Gary imports the database file I'm going to send him this evening.

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

Database is locked is my fault - I unloaded the Antlog laptop along with the arena into storage without sending the results file off.

I'll next be there tomorrow evening and will grab it to send the results in then which will unlock the database.

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

Thank you all so far for your insightful and helpful feedback on this. Picking up on a couple of selected points: 3 robots per team maximum (2+1) is a logical step forward. £5 per robot entry fees (instead of donations) seems to be a common theme too and it's something we (as EOs) need to evaluate. ...

Re: Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

I don't foresee a situation where I will stop running events - I can afford the costs of being an EO - so don't think I'm going anywhere any time soon. That said, my problem is dealing with very successful events.

Coping with the demand (An EO's perspective)

Hi all, This is a bit of a lengthy post, but I feel I need to at least have the discussion with the community - and I suspect other EOs may be thinking the same and have said nothing. When we started AWS58 this weekend, 143 robots were signed up on Antlog. Only a maximum of 128 could compete. We eve...

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

So, it's the morning after the day before. I, for some reason, have been basically unable to sleep (I've had maybe 6 hours if I'm lucky - the flat hasn't dropped below 20C all night). First up, thank you to everyone who came. I can put on all the events in the world - and they would be nothing witho...

Re: Antweight World Series 58 - 29th June 2019

Hi all, Just as a heads up - this won't be quite the event I want it to be. I am certain it will be a fantastic day, but it's just not going to be up my usual standards. I'm not going to go into the details of what/how/why, but I do want you to be aware that I'm not entirely happy about the standard...

Re: AWS 58 - Crew Call

Thanks all for your assistance. Matt - your offer of help at the end is much appreciated.

T_Y & LimaHotel - You will be venue layout leads.

This is the general plan.

Kyro - You will be asked to assist primarily venue crew where available.

Thanks for letting me know and we'll make sure the necessary corrections are made on Antlog.
