Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

Thanks all, glad you enjoyed it. There were some fantastic robots and fights and you were all very patient with the quick turn arounds between fights :) See you all soon at more events I'm sure. Not to self promote *too much* but if Bristol isn't too far from home for you, we're doing an ant social ...

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

Hey Jeff,

Wow from Scotland! Impressive!!

The closer to 9am the better as we have to get through a lot of bot tech checks before we can start the fights.

I'd say bring an extension lead / 4 way plug, apart from that you seem good to go!

Re: AWS56 - Bristol

Hi Guys, Unfortunately with Bugglebots, Bristol Bot Builders and other things on my plate, I'm a bit swamped to host AWS56 without Dave I'm afraid. If spaceman would like to take it up in Oxfordshire area that would be great, would be greatly appreciated! Apologies for any inconvenience caused, hope...

Some of us Bristol guys are looking at putting together an ant arena for our local group (BBB) mostly for our so...

Bodgebots - a fleaweight event we had to introduce my non-robot-building friends to robot combat!

So my friend Scott and I wanted to get our friends who haven't or don't build bots to have a go in a fun silly event. We used the fleaweight class - max 75 grams weight and max 3" cube. But also kept the max budget (not including transmitter) to £25 to keep it cheap and fairly non competitive, the e...

Hi! Just joined the forum :)
Bristol University runs a bi-annual antweight event, I think the next one is planned for December? That's not too far from you I guess.
