Stuff for sale

Hi all! I've come to the decision/conclusion I won't be doing any more robotics, so I'm offloading some stuff I definitely won't need again. I loved my time doing this hobby and the great community, but the passion isn't there for me anymore despite a few attempts to rekindle it. 3018 Pro CNC Router...

Re: AWS56 - 13th October, Bristol

Yo robodudes and dudettes, just wanted to drop in to say I will unfortunately not be able to attend this AWS. I'm on holiday next week, and apart from wanting a rest when I get back, I've also not had time to get anything built recently. I'm trying to focus on getting my heavyweight done before the ...

Re: What counts as a magnetic weapon?

What purpose would this serve in the robot? If you're doing something which could potentially be bending or breaking a rule, it's best to be completely clear and upfront with your intentions. The last thing you want is to think what you've built is allowed, then to turn up to an event and to not be ...

Re: Epic Robotics

Yup! Smaller and lighter than an N20 on it's own, never mind that it's also a wheel. The parts were ordered from Shapeways; they are too thin to print well on FDM machines really. I did some test prints with my home printer and wasn't happy with the strength of them. The smaller of the pieces that e...

Re: Epic Robotics

Phew, it's been a while since I posted here! After attending the last AWS my motivation has returned, and that coupled with Void being pretty badly destroyed means I've been working on the design for the new one. You may recall - or read, if you scroll up - that I was a good way through building a n...

Re: Ofsted/my friendly uncle/I don't know

The rules do not specifically restrict that, but if it was at my event I would not allow it, and I would imagine many would feel the same. I would insist on either having separate attachments for both, or if for example you only had a single spinner attachment, I would make you nominate which robot ...

What are those ESCs, if you don't mind me asking?

Re: 3D printer supplies

I just came across these:

Some very interesting filaments here, the most interesting of which is nylon reinforced with carbon fibres. Has anyone got any experience with any filaments like these?

Re: 20th August 2016 - The Oxford Games, Carterton

I'm sorry to say I won't be able to make it. I've wanted to do an event like this for a while, but unfortunately this falls on the only weekend where I was able to book somewhere for mine and my partner's anniversary. I hope everyone has a fun day and I look forward to seeing the videos :)
