Re: Another New Antweight..

Been off doing big robots and silly gokart things for the last year or so, but I've built my first new ant in a long time for BBB6 this evening.. https://i.imgur.com/JOAIAFk.jpg Granny Found The Gin Again is probably terrible but hilarious. How Did This Happen? Is the flipper I made 3 years ago that...

Re: NanoTwo Kits

Should work... though you'll need a decent BEC to power it.

Re: The adventures of an antweight robot building nerb

Heating polycarb makes it quite brittle. I always just cold fold and bolt together chassis. Superglue works for a while, but eats the polycarb and it will fail after a few months.

Re: Quick question about switches/plugs etc.

Not mandatory, lots of people just disconnect the battery, it's perfectly fine.

Re: NanoTwo Kits

No, however it can be achieved fairly easily using the mixing on the TX to negate the built in mixing.

Re: NanoTwo Kits

Yeah MG90s aren't keen on 7.2v. The V3 was aimed at the high voltage servos which are now becoming common in the sport. You'll either have to get a servo that can handle the voltage, or get a 5v BEC to run the servo.

Re: Axe/hammer question.

With the NanoTwo V3s, the VEX can be powered directly from the servo socket without any additional wiring required.

Re: NanoTwo Kits

The new NanoTwo V3s are now available on Nuts and Bots: https://nutsandbots.co.uk/product/nanotwov3dualesc/ I've still got parts for another 15 V2s in stock, so I'll be making those when I get time just to use up the parts, and they'll be listed on Alex's store at a reduced price: https://nutsandbot...

Re: NanoTwo Kits

I've finished the first of the production NanoTwo V3s. About 20% smaller than the V2s, they support DSMX as well as DSM2, and include a bind plug and a servo plug for 7.2V servos to be driven directly. Hopefully be on sale in the next week or so.

Re: Ant Freeze 5 - 3rd Feb 2018 NEW DATE

Car died on the way but managed to get to a lift. Will be there around 10 though so any repairs I've offered ahead of time may be a little tight
